Review
Battlefield 2142 builds upon the engine that powered the enormously successful Battlefield 2 and its booster and expansion packs, and aimed to expand the gameplay in some areas, focus it in others, and change it completely on occasion.
Set in the future, the game puts the players in the role of one of two factions that are fighting for control of pieces of land around the globe. New to Battlefield 2142 is the Titan gameplay mode. The game sets two opposing capital ships, or Titans, and requires players to capture missile silos to launch their payloads at the enemy ship. Eventually, the shields for the Titans will fall and the players either must continue to fire missiles at the enemy Titan or must board it to destroy it more quickly. The first team to successfully do so wins the match.
The Battlefield 2142 Soundtrack features majestic fanfares much like the music in previous Battlefield games, but unlike the other games in the series, the Battlefield 2142 Soundtrack has a different theme for each individual location. This soundtrack was provided by Maximilian.
