If Donkey Kong Country redefined the platform genre, it’s sequel, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest perfected it. Often considered the best Donkey Kong game in the “Country” series (as well as one of the best games ever released) Diddy’s Kong Quest was an instant hit.
Allowing the player to take the role of Diddy Kong or his girlfriend Dixie, the game features a variety of new moves, allowing you to float through the air using Dixie’s hair has a helicopter or standing one on top of the other to throw them into the air to reach new areas.
The Donkey Kong Country 2 Soundtrack is one of my personal favorites, featuring wonderful fanfares using a brass sound as well as fast paced mine cart themes and “cheesy” game show music. This soundtrack features over 100 songs from Donkey Kong Country 2, and the soundtrack provided by staff member Zinger. |
