One of the first Nintendo systems was the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, otherwise known as the SNES. Many great games had come out for that system, that are still renowned, including one of the first simulation games, Star Fox.
Back then, storylines were rarely told in the actual game, but instead explained in the instruction booklet. You are Fox McCloud, leader of Star Fox, and the evil scientist Andross has made an army and is declaring war on the whole solar system, and it’s your job to stop him. You must battle your way through the various areas of the system in your Arwing cruiser. With two secret levels and three different paths to choose, this game is still a great one to play today.
The music is naturally a lower quality then today’s games, since the system wasn’t quite as powerful. Still, many love it. It gets across a theme of desperation, a fight for peace and freedom. Some can even be described as kind of creepy, intense, or straight out funny. The Star Fox soundtrack is indeed one to have.
