Bringing the game back to its “Arwing” roots, Star Fox Assault put players back into the cockpit to once again fly with the Star Fox Team, now with a few new faces.
In Star Fox Assault, the team has shifted positions as well. Crystal from Star Fox Adventures (the most recent game before this to appear with Star Fox in the title) helps pilot an Arwing as well as providing information to you that’s pertinent to your adventure. Peppy is no longer flying, but instead is commanding from the Great Fox. ROB and Falco are there as well. Players have a chance to play as a foot soldier (Fox) on the ground, drive in a Battletank, or fly in an Arwing to save the star system.
For the first time in a Star Fox title, the Star Fox Assault Soundtrack features fully orchestrated music. Heroic tunes, chilling music, and the usual Star Fox fanfare are all presented in their full glory by a large orchestra featuring brass, strings, and full percussion. |
