The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker took the series to a completely different graphics and gameplay style. Many people enjoyed this, many people didn’t, but either way, it worked for what Nintendo wanted it to do.
The graphics were redone on this game to appear more like a cartoon, but they weren’t quite cell shaded. In this game, the player has the ability to see each expression on Link and the other characters faces. You again take the role as Link as he tries to rescue his sister who has been kidnapped. Along the way, you meet up with a magical boat, and you are allowed to sail across the sea.
The literal item, “The Wind Waker,” is a magical baton used to conduct songs that do everything from teleport Link from one side of the map to the other, to summoning special abilities. This soundtrack was provided by Daniel Koman. |
