Featuring an unprecedented level of detail for a computer game, Blizzard’s Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness outdid it’s predecessor in every way imaginable.  Not only did it set the standard for the screen and control layout of strategy games, it also contained amazing CG (Computer Generated) movies that awed gamers and are still considered great by today’s standards.

 

In Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, you play as either Humans or Orcs in large scale battles across the world of Warcraft (no pun intended).  The game lets you use footsoldiers with swords, aerial units firing lightning, sea ships with cannons, and a number of other creatures and gadgets to go all out against the opposing forces while also building up your town with farms, churches, and blacksmiths.

 

The Warcraft II Soundtrack features an amazing score, which utilizes many different instruments, including harpsichords, brass, strings, and heavy drums.
